Subject: [Teaching_Composition] Announcing site of Computers and Writing 2009

The CCCC Committee on Computers in Composition and Communication (7Cs) is pleased to announce the date and location of Computers and Writing 2009, which will be held June 16-19 on the campus of the University of California, Davis.

The theme for C&W 2009 is "Ubiquitous and Sustainable Computing in Schools, at Work and at Play." The planning committee, who hail from UC-Davis, UC-Santa Barbara, and CSU-Sacramento, say that their "goal  with this conference is to transcend traditional boundaries:  among school, work, and play; among academic disciplines; between k-12 and higher education; between online and offline; and among organizers, attenders, and presenters," and to provide a vision for "sustainable perspectives on lifelong computing and communication."

Just a quick correction to the announcement about C&W 09:

cwhithaus<AT>gmail<DOT>com  The Davis address has the bonus "w" in it.  It's
best to use the UC Davis one for correspondence about the Computers and
Writing conference.

We're jazzed about hosting the conference, and we're looking forward to

The online DSP module that was up on the McGraw Hill site during October 
was never complete because of dead links.  However, I have recreated the 
entire module on my own website.  Viewers now have access to all the 
materials from the various programs who have created online DSP.  Just go

programs (composition or tech comm) as part of the TTU Technical
Communication and Rhetoric program for the spring of 2008.  The course will
meet Thursday night at 6:00 CST in the MOO for 90 minutes, and we hope to
