Billie is a Ph.D. candidate from the University of Texas, Arlington and

Instructor of English at Texas Christian University . She teaches the

University stretch course (for underprepared writers) as well as other

first-year and second-year writing courses at TCU.  She is currently

completing her dissertation on institutional responsibilities to

underprepared student athletes at NCAA-ranked Division I-A institutions.

Billie has a wide range of academic interests that include reflexive

photography in the classroom, documentary film, community engagement, and

pedagogy.   Billie maintains two blogs, a general blog
